The employee RV park where we live is one mile from our store and we have frequent visitors. Yesterday morning while making breakfast, these 3 young elk came to say hello.
I took these looking through my kitchen window.

Fortunately, we haven't seen bear in the campground, but we do have this warning on the laundry room door and we have heard the early morning gun shots nearby (used to scare away bears). And we spotted this little guy on our drive home - about a half mile from our RV park.

Some of you have asked about our living space, so here's a little tour:

And our dining room.
It only feels small when it's snowing, raining or cold --- which has been most days we've lived here. HA!

Work ... has been hard! After having spent 8 hours on our feet, carrying loads and climbing stairs (often 50+ flights a day), we both are exhausted and in pain (Bob's back - my ankle). So, as a result we've decided to shorten our time here and Sunday will be our last day. Both of our managers affirmed that we have had the hardest position and it's really a young person's job (and we are old!).
We have the next two days off and then return for our last two days of work. We hope to share some of the amazing scenery and wildlife here in Yellowstone that we see in the next few days. Thanks for following along --- the adventure is not over!
Oh wow!!! Well good for both of you for not pushing it and for taking care of yourselves! Let the adventure continue without pain and exhaustion! Woohoo!! 🥳
ReplyDeleteWow this is sooo beautiful cannot wait to hear about it. Even just these posts are making me have fond memories of Yellowstone. How gorgeous.
